AGONY is a thriller set in the not-so-distant future when household service androids are a common sight. Ellie Corbin, a programmer with a troubled past, volunteers for a neural mapping program upon which the advanced AI program, Grace is based. When Grace’s creator dies under suspicious circumstances, Ellie inherits the research and makes the fateful decision to download the malicious software into her own service bot. The program overwhelms the bot, amplifying Ellie’s narccistic personailty and creates an opponent who shares identical thoughts, memories and intelligence.
Trapped and alone with the android who becomes dependent on her suffering for energy, Ellie must use the painful experiences of the past and a dose of self-realization if she is to outwit her tormentor.
This limited location thriller taps into the current trend of the strong female lead and the popularity of Artificial Intelligence stories. It has the same target audience as successful movies like “Ex-Machina,” and series like “Mother.”
Big Moochie has partnered with WORKS FILM STUDIO the European based entertainment
company behind many of the high end special effects seen in blockbusters like “Iron Man 3” and “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” to present a project with a unique business model.
